These terms govern use of the Maison Velume storefront and purchases made through it. By visiting the store or placing an order, you agree to these terms and the policies linked at checkout. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

Store use

You must use the storefront only for lawful purposes and provide current, accurate information. You may not interfere with site security, introduce malicious code, scrape or copy content without permission, impersonate another person, or use the services in a way that infringes the rights of Maison Velume or others.

Products and information

We aim to describe products accurately, but measurements, colors, finishes, texture, brightness, and scale can appear different across screens and environments. Dimensions may have reasonable manufacturing tolerances. Natural and hand-finished materials vary from piece to piece. Product photos can show styling items that are not included unless the description says otherwise.

Customers are responsible for reading the complete product description and confirming the product's dimensions, weight, finish, electrical requirements, environmental rating, and intended use before purchase. Product availability and quantities may change without notice.

Pricing, orders, and payment

Prices, shipping charges, taxes, duties, and other charges shown at checkout are the amounts applicable to the order at that time. Payment-provider currency conversion or other charges not collected by Maison Velume may apply.

An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean it has been accepted. We may decline, limit, or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including suspected fraud, obvious pricing or product-information errors, inventory issues, delivery restrictions, or inability to verify customer information. If payment has been captured for a cancelled order, the applicable amount will be returned to the original payment method.

Shipping, returns, and customer communications

Our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy form part of these terms. Review them before placing an order. You are responsible for providing accurate delivery and contact information and for monitoring tracking notices sent to the email address or phone number provided at checkout.

Lighting safety and installation

Customers are responsible for confirming product dimensions, weight, voltage, socket or light-source requirements, dimmer compatibility, mounting surface, environmental rating, and local electrical-code suitability before ordering or installation. Unless a product is expressly designed for customer setup without electrical work, hardwired lighting and ceiling fans must be installed by a qualified electrician or other properly licensed professional in accordance with local codes and the supplied instructions.

Turn off power at the breaker before electrical work. Do not exceed stated wattage or use a product in wet, damp, outdoor, or commercial conditions unless its product page expressly permits that use. Maison Velume is not responsible for damage or injury caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable site conditions, unauthorized modification, misuse, or failure to follow instructions.

Intellectual property

The Maison Velume name, storefront design, original copy, product guides, graphics, logos, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Maison Velume and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission, except as allowed by law.

Third-party services and links

The storefront may rely on or link to services operated by Shopify and other providers. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the services and products are provided subject to applicable statutory rights and without warranties beyond those expressly stated. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maison Velume will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss arising from use of the storefront or products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid for the affected product, except where a different limit is required by law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Maison Velume against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the services, violation of these terms, or misuse or improper installation of a product.

Governing law, severability, and changes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where Maison Velume is legally established, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

We may update these terms when our services, products, or legal obligations change. The version posted at the time of an order applies to that purchase unless applicable law requires otherwise.
